Job Description

A. General Accountability

• Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company's rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
• Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability. Observing GMP rules and procedures.
• Apply SOP and/or SWI in daily operations.
• Observe BD Code of Ethics
• Reporting up on all incidents / accidents, near misses, deviations from plan and when required, to take part in further investigations.
• Reporting up on all quality incidents, near misses, non-conformance from SOP, Specifications and when required, to take part in further investigations.

B. Operation Tasks

• Prepare culture media for microbiological test.
• Perform microbiological test, observation and recording of microbial data. (Product Bioburden, BI/Product Sterility, BF, Sterilization Dose Audit, Endotoxin)
• Perform culture media sterility and growth support test.
• Conduct gram staining.
• Perform general cleaning in Microlab.
• Monitor the viable and non-viable counts in the air in the controlled environments.
• Responsible for coordinating and sending test samples to contract sterilizer for irradiation.
• Assist in Microbiology Laboratory equipment validation program.
• Assist in ETO sterilization validation and revalidation.
• Assist in auditing the placement of biological indicator.
• Perform biological indicator titer quality check.
• Temperature Monitoring of Microlab equipment
• Record Air Pressure Differential in Sterility Room & Changing Room.

C. Supporting Tasks

• Contribute into departments activities that are needed in order to achieve goals set for the department eg. Kaizen submission, team building, safety kaizen submission, 20Keys and others.
• Participate in the discussion and review of team's performance in the daily shift changeover meeting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiative / activities.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

D. Job Requirements

• Graduate of Biomedical or Biotechnology (Science background)
• Relevant Internship from Biomedical or Biotechnology company is advantageous
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Must be willing to follow safety guidelines and procedures
