QA Test Lead - Automation

Candidates MUST have QA Test Lead (Automation) experience and 8+ years of Agile and Test Automation with Jira/Xray

Job Title: QA Test Lead - Automation

Duration : 4+ months

Location : Portland, Oregon 100% Remote

Key Skills : Preferred experience in or knowledge of the specific line of business and/or IT environment. Testing experience is required. Automation experience is preferred. Advanced knowledge of testing tools, techniques, and standards. Jira/Xray experience is preferred. Must be able to create QA metrics for reporting. Intermediate knowledge of SQL queries and be able to query database and be able to perform back-end test. Intermediate knowledge of testing applications developed in various SDLC methodologies. Working knowledge of Agile methodology is preferred.

Job Description:

This role supports the Compliance Management System software project (within a team of approx. 10 resources), which is implementing the Compliance module of client's DeVonWay software suit.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and update test cases, develop a testing strategy and accompanying test plans, and manage the design verification and user acceptance testing phases. Train end users on how to use the tool. Evaluate company needs and current practices. Create and deliver a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources.

Job Deliverables:

• Testing schedule with detailed activities and milestones
• Weekly/Monthly status report identifying risks, issues, assumptions & constraints, decision needed/made relative to testing
• Daily project action items, issues, risks, decisions
• Testing Strategy
• Test Cases/Scripts
• Daily updates on defects in HPALM

Education and Qualifications Required:

Degrees required for this job: Requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, management, or other related field or equivalent experience.

Years of experience required for this job: Typically, eight or more years in IT or a related field
