QA Tester Developer

Your Role and Responsibilities
A QA/Test Developer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of software and hardware products by designing developing and executing test works in an agile collaborative environment closely with developers to recommend and develop testing standards and application of quality technologies. Ensures the product is robust and failure scenarios are considered and refactored.
This role is key to ensure IBM products meet the highest quality standards helping business to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Testing Execution:
– Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects bugs and usability issues.
– Perform different types of testing including functional system regression testing.
2. Reporting & Tracking issues (Defect Management):
– Identify document and report defects in a clear and detailed manner.
– Use bug-tracking systems (e.g. JIRA Bugzilla Github) to log track and manage defects until resolution.
3. Collaboration with Development Teams:
– Work closely with software engineers to ensure early detection of defects during the development cycle.
– Participate in design and test cases reviews to provide a QA perspective.
4. Continuous Improvement:
– Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies tools and industry best practices.
– Propose and implement improvements to the QA process to enhance quality and efficiency.
5. Documentation:
– Ensure proper documentation of test processes results and tools.
– Provide reports and test metrics to stakeholders on the health and quality of the software.

Required Skills:
– Knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile Waterfall etc.).
– Knowledge with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA TestRail Github).
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
