Job Description

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering and Emergency Management consulting firm is seeking a qualified QA/QC Specialist to provide QA/QC services to an assigned caseload of disaster recovery applicants.

Essential Functions

  • Review applications and documentation for quality and accuracy set by the program guidance.
  • Verify the accuracy of supporting documentation in applicant files
  • Ensures applicant files meet program guidelines and applicable government regulations.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and organize documentation related to QA/QC reviews performed.
  • Review reports and provide daily performance status updates.
  • Draft and review policies as needed or assigned.
  • Identify problems and offer resolutions.
  • Perform reviews of private and commercial insurance policies and related claims for FEMA Duplication of Benefit determinations.
  • Travel as required by supervisor.
  • Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field, OR,
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in quality control, case management, application processing, grant-funded government programs, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (HUD CDBG) and/or FEMA disaster recovery programs, as well as other applicable federal disaster recovery efforts is strongly encouraged. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience in QA/QC in FEMA-funded programs as well as experience in Duplication of Benefits determination.
  • Proficient in Outlook, and Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, etc.
  • Previous experience working in a Salesforce environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and make decisions.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
  • Flexible schedule to include late afternoon, evening, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise, coaching ability, and passion for the role.
  • Partners and collaborates effectively with internal operational partners and external partners to achieve a common goal.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to balance education vs. accountability.
