Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Storage Scale is the Software Defined Storage solution for the new era of data. This is an opportunity for a talented Software Test Specialist to join the growing IBM Storage Scale Development and Test teams in changing the world. The ideal candidate is a technophile who thrives in a fast-paced environment is passionate about learning new tools and technologies and is comfortable interacting with internal and external clients.
As Software Test Developer focusing on IBM Storage Scale and the Storage Scale System you will contribute to the test and support of a state-of-the-art cluster file system geared towards High Performance Computer (HPC) Cloud Big Data & Analytics Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning and Deep Learning workloads. Storage System and Storage Scale are deployed in many of the world’s largest commercial deployments. You will work closely with Development to ensure critical software and hardware functions are thoroughly tested and validated using automated testing techniques

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with RHEL/Linux OS system configuration and administration
Experience with Python and other scripting languages.
Experience with networking and Internet technologies like TCP/IP DNS HTTP.
Experience with Software testing (Test planning test execution defect tracking)
English proficiency

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with File Access Storage Protocols such as NFS and SMB.
Experience with Agile Software Development and Test.
Experience with Jenkins Git Gerrit Github
Experience with Storage concepts or Software Defined Storage
