QE Lead - Performance (Digital)

Lead a team of offshore performance engineers. Work closely with the QA Manager, the development team leads/architecture team and product management on understanding the design/architecture and building Non-Functional Requirements.

As the Performance Lead, your role is to ensure the application and infrastructure can handle the production load and ensuring there are no bottlenecks while scaling up/down based on the traffic. You will create robust scripts with data combinations mimicking Production traffic on lower environment to capture metrics (SLAs). Passion for learning, collaboration is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Lead and champion best practices and uphold a culture that is committed to quality and repeatable processes across multiple environments and brands
• Establish baseline metrics for all the applications/services at the component level and also at the E2E flow level
• Design and create load test scripts to identify the baseline load the application/service can handle and to identify the breaking points
• Create performance monitoring dashboards in New Relic and proactively identify performance issues
• Manage multiple projects and release cycles - planning and execution simultaneously
• Develops and maintains performance scripts, utilities and data sets

Education and Work Qualifications:

• Four year degree in IT or related field - preferred
• At least 7 years of overall experience in Software Testing
• At least 3 years of lead experience with performance testing tools like Jmeter (preferred), LoadRunner, Neoload
• Experience working on cloud based execution platforms like Blazemeter and inhouse cloud based distributed VMs on Azure/AWS
• Experience in scripting for UI and Services
• Experience in monitoring and building performance stats on tools like New relic, Datadog
• Experience with version control tools like GIT
• Need to have clear understanding of CI/CD implementation
• Proficient in establishing strong test data management tools/framework
• Experience in Retail domain is a plus
