Job Description

Mission Statement:

Establishes and maintains a Quality culture within organization, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools, and teams to meet or exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Supporting the Quality Management System implementation within HE Business Units in Japan and supporting liaison with Hitachi Ltd. Corporate Quality Assurance Group and Japanese customers if needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will act as a role model for the behavior required to support a Quality and Continuous Improvement culture. Influences employees to ensure the correct thinking and decision making that is required to support the implementation and execution of Quality and Continuous Improvement Strategies. Acts independently as an internal advocate for customers in Quality related issues and decisions. Drives HE towards a learning organization - enhancing lessons learned and best practices, including expert knowledges feedback from external technical committees such as IEEJ. Coaches and guides the quality team and HE Japan Branch employees in HE quality methods and tools.
  • You will support audit management in close cooperation with HE central QA audit team.
  • You will support project execution teams to properly understand, implement FMEA, RCA and comply with national laws and regulations, including industry standards and compliance with JEC/Utilitys standards.
  • You will support project execution teams to create a positive cooperation environment with customers and suppliers.
  • You will support factories to enhance and adapt production processes to comply with Japanese utilities expectations. Support manufacturing units to deploy and enhance suppliers quality and feedback utilitiesoperational experiences to GPG, R&D and BU Operations.
  • You will be working with team to capture customer expectations in terms of reliable products. Support engineering and manufacturing team to understand reliability requirements according to Japanese market expectations, and feedback utilities operational experiences to GPG, R&D and BU Operations.
  • You must ensure team to execute thoroughly root cause analysis applying proper methodologies and fostering a critical thinking to safeguard customer expectations and prevent future occurrences.
  • You must ensure aligned activities with Corporate Quality Assurance Group regarding committee and subcommittee activities.
  • You will consult Hitachi Energy with respect to Ochibo Hiroi process and execution within each Business Unit.

Your background:

  • You must hold Engineering degree.
  • Quality Management Systems.
  • Japanese market requirements in relation to Quality Assurance.
  • English language.
  • Extensive industry experience, both within Japanese market and within Hitachi Energy organization.
