Job Description

We are looking for a mid to senior-level Software Developer in Test to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and excellence of our software products through manual and automated software testing. Your work will directly impact the user experience and our ability to meet market demands. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote and will be a W-2 Hourly 3 to 6-month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $ 55/hr.– $59/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, referral bonus program, and lunch and learn opportunities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests (integration, regression, performance etc.) using scripting language and functional testing.
• Integrate automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
• Maintain test code in a version control system.
• Debug test failures and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Analyze, diagnose, and repair broken test scripts.
• Participate in code reviews of automation scripts and provide feedback on the quality and maintainability of the code.
• Work with Product Owners, Stakeholders, and Engineers to understand software requirements, and define technical test solutions.
• Create automated testing documentation and metrics, including automation Test Plans/strategies/test data management/Test Summary Reports.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 -8 + years of experience working with automation of different applications.
• Experience with Cypress automated testing framework.
• Proficiency with JavaScript.
• 5+ years of experience working with CICD (Jenkins or Concourse- preferred).
• Strong experience with GIT Version Control System.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to resolve the roadblocks and implement necessary technical changes.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and take ownership to refactor code based on industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and participate in technical architecture meetings with other Software Engineers in Philadelphia.
• Experience with Octane is a plus.
