Job Description

Abcam, a leading innovator in life science research and diagnostics, is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our Innovation & Manufacturing Department in Waltham, Massachusetts. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator at Abcam, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our Quality Management System (QMS). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage controlled quality documentation using QA Document Management System and Learning Compliance Software.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with Abcam's QMS, identify areas for improvement, and communicate QA issues.
  • Oversee the review and approval of CoA documentation for OEM supplied products.
  • Review and address non-conformance reports, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in delivering quality-related training programs and maintain a quality-focused culture.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement programs to enhance processes, products, and services.
  • Write reports, develop policies, and support external audits in line with the Quality Management System.
Qualifications

You will be educated to degree level in biological or life sciences and have 4 years’ experience of working within the Life Science or Medical Device Industry. You will also have a practical working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and GMP with an audit focused background.

Strong communication both verbal and written are essential for this role with the ability to write clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience. Additionally, experience in 5S/Lean/Six Sigma and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle would be advantageous to this role.
