Quality Assurance Coordinator

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality control including experience auditing procedures.
• Previous experience assessing and evaluating risk and implementing solutions.

Job Summary

Conducts internal quality assurance inspections, encompassing Pick to Customer Delivery, inbound and outbound operations, as well as indirect activities, to ensure strict adherence to established quality procedures and norms. Establishes and maintains standardized procedures for routine quality analysis and inspections of an over, short, and damage program, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Performs internal audits to ensure the company’s alignment with financial, operational, and compliance objectives.
• Supports the development of an assurance planning reporting process and reports control deficiencies to management while making recommendations to mitigate risk.
• Monitors, records, and analyzes inconsistencies with quality procedures and customer claims.
• Prepares standard quality control analysis and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.
• Supports the development of policies, procedures, and methods to check product, material, components, or operational quality.
• Conducts internal quality controls audits for specific areas to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assists in preparing reports on rejected, defective, miss-picked, or failed to deliver products.

Nature and Scope

• Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
• Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
• None.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
