Your Role and Responsibilities
As a QA/Automation Engineer you will be a part of a team that transforms our customers challenges into solutions. You will work in an agile collaborative environment across software architecture understanding both client-side development as well as the server-side development.

• Understand the test plans laid down for a feature/product
• Write and automate tests that cover the scenarios stated in the test plan
• Carry out functional regression and performance tests periodically for minor major and patch releases.
• Raise defects for issues found and work with development team to narrow down the problem and verify fixes
• Review documentation to ensure it matches the implementation.
• Comply with coding practices and quality standards laid down for the product
• Communicate effectively with peers and cross-teams to clarify technical details share ideas and convey progress.
• Ensure that overall testing is performed within the committed timeframe with good quality.
• Work in a fast moving and forward-thinking development environment that is constantly researching and implementing using the latest technologies.
• Participate in and adhere to professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development Test Driven Development Continuous Integration Source Code Management (git) and GitHub. Ensure good code coverage.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency with Computer Science/Software Engineering knowledge and contribute to the technical skills growth of other team members.
• Good team player and have a passion to learn and continuously grow.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
6-8 years’ experience in quality assurance

• Experience in functional and regression testing.
• Work experience in Java test automation frameworks.
• Experience with web automation libraries such as Selenium
• Experience with unit test frameworks such as Junit/TestNG.
• B.Tech/ B.E. in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proven working experience in an agile software development environment.
• Passion for delivering results in high quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Approachable and flexible open trustworthy and innovative
• Experience with GitHub Jira Jenkins and Test management tools.
• Proficient working with REST API’s

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proficiency in cloud platforms – AWS and IBM Cloud.
• Experience in testing SaaS applications databases.
