Quality Assurance Engineer

Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Waltham, MA. This is an onsite position with some remote flexibility.  As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will provide technical leadership on a daily basis by developing, establishing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices which meet world class standards. You will also drive product/process improvements with the objective of compliance safety and high customer satisfaction.

Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

Working alongside manufacturing, you will evaluate process methods and equipment to meet performance and quality requirements as well as implement Quality System processes and initiatives.  Establishing quality plans for equipment and processes for general and specific product performance needs and regulatory requirements. You will apply QSR requirements to processes and procedures for Vicarious Surgical and outside suppliers. Working with suppliers on new product introduction to ensure that quality and performance requirements are fulfilled.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and revise QMS documentation, ensuring that process linkages are correctly documented throughout the QMS.
• Perform internal audits as needed.
• Provide coordination and guidance to cross functional teams to ensure product quality objectives are met.
• Support Operations with equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), process validations and process improvements.  Includes the use of various statistical techniques and quality tools.
• Lead and support test method validations plans/protocols and reports.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in medical device company working in quality and/or manufacturing engineering roles; candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply as well and may be considered for Senior level position
• Ability to deliver, meet deadlines and be results oriented.
• Ability to drive quality system improvements cross functionally and with key external partners
• Critical thinker, see the big picture and drill down to the components of it.
• Excellent communications (oral, written, presentation) skills at different organizational levels
