Job description

Verantos is seeking an experienced  Data Quality Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. As a quality assurance engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. Your role includes designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.

The role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure that the software runs smoothly and meets the requirements. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated data quality checks using SQL, Python, and Snowflake to ensure data adheres to internal quality standards.
• Monitor data pipelines for anomalies and identify potential data quality issues.
• Drive constant ways to improve existing test frameworks/libraries, automated tests, and overall test execution efficiency.
• Investigate and troubleshoot data quality problems, root causing issues and proposing solutions to ensure data integrity.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data quality tools, methodologies, and healthcare data regulations.
• Timely reports and escalation to management with current project status quality metrics, bug reports, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputed institution. Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, data engineering, data quality, or a related field, with a focus on healthcare data is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, excellence in writing complex SQL queries.
• Automation using Python/Perl/C/C++/Java/Go (python preferred).
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with healthcare data quality tools specific to the industry is an advantage.
