Job Description

Kickstart Your Career as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Vanderlande!

Are you a recent graduate looking for an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for ensuring the quality and performance of suppliers? Do you see it as a challenge to contribute to development and improvement projects within multidisciplinary teams? Would you like to work in an international team and collaborate on a global scale with Vanderlande's Global Quality community? Then, this position as a Quality Assurance Engineer is perfect for you!

About the Department

The Quality Assurance department is divided into three teams: Metrology and Inspection, VI (Vanderlande Industries) Equipment, and 3rd Party Equipment. We act as gatekeepers and advisors for ensuring and maintaining Vanderlande's Quality Standards for parts, products, and processes. This is achieved through close cooperation with Supply Chain, R&D, and Project Execution stakeholders.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be involved in managing the performance of suppliers within your assigned category. You will actively follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and support Supplier Development programs. Additionally, you will schedule annual supplier audits and contribute to building sustainable relationships with suppliers. You will be responsible for the process of releasing parts and products within the supply chain and will qualify suppliers before doing business with them.

You will have the opportunity to learn and work with LEAN/SIX Sigma methods, 8D problem-solving techniques, and Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP). Moreover, you will have the chance to develop yourself as an auditor.

What Do You Bring?

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Technical Business Administration).
  • Excellent communication skills and a good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • An interest in International Management System Standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and a willingness to be trained in (Lead) Auditing.

Why Should You Apply?

  • You are a team player and a strong communicator who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • You are eager to learn, a self-starter, and able to plan and prioritize your own work.
  • You have an analytical mindset and are willing to develop further in statistical methods and quality improvement processes.

About the Team

You will work as part of a team of QA professionals and align with Vanderlande's Global Quality community on processes, ways of working, and improvements. At Vanderlande, you will have the opportunity to develop your career, achieve your ambitions, and experience personal growth.

What Do We Offer You?

  • A competitive starting salary.
  • 40 vacation days (20 statutory days and a flexible budget worth 20 days).
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid workplace (40% working from home and 60% in the office).
  • A Health & Wellbeing budget worth €300 per year.
  • Full reimbursement of commuting costs for public transport and a working-from-home allowance.
  • A collective pension scheme and discount on additional health insurance.
  • Access to the Vanderlande Academy and training facilities to boost your skills.
