Quality Assurance Lead

Forward Networks is looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Lead that can work closely with our developers to ensure high-quality releases of our product. The QA Lead participates in the development process to ensure that developed software adheres to established standards during the development and release lifecycles. This position supports the software development team in meeting deadlines by breaking the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the development and product teams or leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Hire and build a high performing test automation team
• Own the end-to-end QA process, including developing test frameworks; developing and executing test plans; and reporting test results and quality metrics
• Work with product and engineering teams to understand product vision and requirements and collaborate on feature acceptance criteria
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management to plan, test, and ship releases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent industry experience
• Working knowledge of how switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers work
• Experience with Jira and Git
• Experience with managing test automation teams or QA teams.
• 3+ years of experience with automated test development tools and testing frameworks Expert knowledge with at least 3 years of experience in Java or similar programming languages
• Strong understanding of REST and demonstrated experience with web services APIs testing/automation
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Strong written skills and ability to follow established software procedures and generate required software documentation and defect logging
