Quality Assurance Lead

Emphasys Software PHA is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to join the growing development group.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Quality Assurance Lead is the interface between our QA engineers and our development groups. Key responsibilities include the following:

• Participating in the product development cycle and developing a robust understanding of Emphasys’s applications.
• The ability to adapt to rapid deployment cycles and changes in testing patterns.
• The ability to develop, publish, implement, and maintain test cases.
• Administration of performance, scalability, security, and usability testing to ensure non-functional requirements are also met.
• Provision of multi-platform testing between functionality from desktop to web to mobile.
• Conducting compatibility tests with various systems and software.
• Creating and maintaining qualitative and quantitative metrics.
• Development and execution of functional and regression test cases both manually and through automation.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, track, and report on application issues, defects and failures while maintaining defect metrics.
• Capability to lead a fully remote team.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate required time for testing.
• Capacity to work on multiple product testing projects simultaneously.

• 5+ years’ experience in a QA role, 3+ years’ experience leading a team.
• Experience testing desktop, web, and mobile applications
• Experience with testing automation software; TestComplete familiarity is a plus.
• Excellent phone and written communication skills
• Positive and personable attitude with a customer service focus
• Ability to prioritize a dynamic workload by effectively working individually and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops for boards and tracking bugs.
