Quality Assurance Manager Hawaii (3811)

SMX is currently recruiting for an energetic and innovative Quality Assurance (Testing) Lead to join our State and Local team.  This is a remote, Hawaii based position, we may consider candidates on the West Coast. SMX seeks to advance the critical missions of our customers through advanced software development, cloud migration and operation and maintenance of highly secure and compliant environments leveraging a wide variety of process methodologies and technologies. You will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting customers deliver solutions for our nation's most critical needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops and tracks the Master Test Plan including support for User Acceptance Testing
• Manages ongoing testing activities.
• Collaborates with Leads to implement an effective testing process including creating test infrastructure that supports continuous integration and automated testing .
• Manages, plans, and coordinates all areas of the quality assurance program to assure that information system services and programs meet organizational standards.
• Oversees quality assurance staff who test, evaluate, and validate new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8 + years of experience in QA/QC roles, specifically related to web and software application development.
• 4 + years of experience supporting web or software application development.
• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing).
• Familiarity with security testing concepts.
• Understanding of the SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Programming skills in languages like Python, C#, or Java are a plus.
• Proven experience with Agile/SDLC procedures and methods, and verifiable expertise in test automation.
• Proficient in using automation tools such as QTP (QuickTest Professional), TestNG, JMeter, Junit and Selenium for test script development and execution.
