Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related value-added products. We are headquartered in Weston, Massachusetts, funded by institutional capital partners, and currently, have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states. We have a plan to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.
The Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all safety and Quality Assurance activities of a POD under construction according to the design and specification parameters. This includes coordinating with contractors and performing quality control and safety checks.
Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to sites across the country. (up to 75% out of State travel by air)
• Responsible for site safety audits
• Ensuring JSA compliance
• Verifying sub and subcontractor documentation; lift plans, TRIR, operator qualifications, and safety plans
• Provide insight and direction on emergency response plans prior to mobilization to ensure they are realistic and achievable.
• Understanding project specifications
• Analyze impacts to the environment.
• Support for developing project document control programs.
• Risk identification, Risk analysis, recovery planning.
• Support in project pre-planning & development.

 Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5 years of QA/QC or safety experience
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws
• Proven ability to understand projects according to outlined quality specifications and safety requirements.
• Full understanding of project reporting.
• Full understanding of procurement process & management.
• Basic understanding of contract language.
• Full understanding of Environmental Compliance Plan.
• Experience in contract compliance.
• Experience in document control program development and execution.
• Experience in blueprint & specification comprehension.
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
• Advanced leadership skills, excellent communicator, negotiator, and motivator.
• OSHA 30 Minimum
