Quality Assurance Specialist

Chain Reaction is an award-winning digital marketing agency based in GCC and Levant. We develop bespoke digital strategies to help our clients achieve their growth goals, bringing together online marketing techniques including Online Advertising, SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media, Influencer Marketing, and more.

In this role, you will ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications by conducting thorough testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to identify issues, maintain high standards, and improve our testing processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers to define test requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive test plans to cover new features and application updates.
• Identify potential testing gaps and create appropriate test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, and performance testing for various applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure their resolution meets quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards at every phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide feedback on potential quality risks or concerns during development and testing phases.
• Review and refine QA processes to ensure efficiency and thorough coverage.
• Prepare detailed test documentation, including test case results, defect reports, and summary reports.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
• Recommend solutions or mitigations for any risks identified.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure a high-quality product delivery.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Foster collaboration between the QA team and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging tools, and testing techniques.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of automation testing strategies (if applicable).

Required Skills:

• Proven experience of at 2-3 years working as a software testing for web and mobile applications
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with testing types, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
