About the role
We are one of the key players in the Nordic region insurance field. Our IT unit takes care of insurance systems across the Baltics and Scandinavian countries. We are working with a broad scope of various in-house projects to keep our primary business growing. Furthermore, we consider ourselves Cloud citizens as our daily work revolves on top of cloud-based solutions.
Our mission is to simplify, optimize and automate the claims handling process. We provide services for several steps in the claims handling process. We keep constantly growing. That's why we are looking for an addition to our team.
What are you going to do?
API Testing Expertise:
-
Perform manual testing of APIs, including validation of request/response
-
Use tools like Insomnia, Swagger, or similar to verify API functionality
-
Analyze logs and use debugging tools to pinpoint and document issues
Attention to Detail:
-
Track and manage requirements for thorough test coverage
Business Understanding:
-
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the purpose behind requirements
-
Identify mismatches between business needs and technical implementations
Organization and Documentation:
-
Maintain detailed test plans, cases, and defect reports
Problem Solving:
-
Dig deep into issues to identify root causes
-
Offer insights to improve API design and user flows
What do we expect from you?
Must have
-
4+ years experience within software testing
-
Proficient in manual API testing. Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth)

Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation

Strong organizational abilities to juggle multiple tasks
-
Willingness to dig into complex systems to understand the bigger picture
-
Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business teams
-
Understanding of QA methodologies
-
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
-
Very good English communication skills to be able to cooperate with colleagues from different countries
Nice to have

Experience preferably with technical projects and APIs
-
Detail-oriented with a curious, analytical mindset
-
Proactive in identifying and resolving issues
-
Ability to read and understand C#
-
Knowledge of insurance domain

ISTQB certification
