Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

How You Will Make an Impact:

 The QA/QC Manager will administer and oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control for our Construction group. This role is responsible for all aspects of Quality in alignment with company programs and strategies which directly impact the success of our Construction group. This role will solely focus on the Quality Assurance of our Conveyor Project.

Responsibilities:

• Performing Daily Inspections of ongoing activities such as concrete placement, structural erection, mechanical installation and alignment verification, electrical installation, and punch-out activities
• Providing project progress level updates of to upper management
• Review project schedule to identify upcoming inspection requirements and coordinate accordingly with on-site personnel to ensure availability and conformity of installation
• Providing remediation for any on-site technical inquiries from sub-contractors
• Ensuring inspection/documentation requirements are being me by sub-contractors
• Review/develop red-line drawings and maintaining accurate records of as-built drawings
• Works with Document Control to implement SOP’s for receipt and distribution of controlled documents.
• Assists in work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing through sub-contractors for each phase of a prescribed project
• Assists in following line-item budgets for review
• Coordinates sub-contractors and their workforce
• Monitors project status and prepares status reports for the Project Manager
• Liaison between the project staff and the Project Manager
• Coordinates ordering and delivering of project materials
• Working industry knowledge - ASME, AWS, ACI, ASTM, API, NEC, OSHA, MSHA, NACE, IBS

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Project Manager on construction related projects
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word and Power Point
• Working experience with an ERP, Epicor preferred
• Ability to work in a cross functional team
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work Monday – Friday with the occasional night or weekend
