About the Role:
- The Quality Compliance Associate will act as a liaison between Dr. Squatch and manufacturing partners, suppliers and cross-functional teams. The Quality Compliance Associate will help ensure that all products and services meet company and regulatory standards. Responsible for various aspects of product compliance and regulatory needs.
- This role will report to the Head of Quality & Compliance.
- This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA.
- This role's anticipated base compensation range will be $30 to $32 /hr. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
- Support technical documentation: secure SDS, COA, SOP, and other products & raw materials information in specific database
- Ensure products are manufactured and released according to specification at various co-mans and all supporting documents and retains have been provided to Dr. Squatch
- Update regulatory files on specific products & raw materials
- Coordinate with labs and materials vendors on information discrepancies or changes
- Assist in reviewing manufacturers’ packaging reports, lab reports, production reports and other documents to ensure compliance and safety
- Assist in sample and Finished Goods shipment inspection and tracking, and troubleshooting any safety and compliance issues
- Coordinate and arrange product inspection as deemed necessary at co-mans and receiving distribution centers.
- Keep up-to-date info regarding FDA regulations and international regulatory entities eg. REACH
- Assist in maintaining and updating all regulatory affairs & compliance dossiers and databases for easy retrieval and reference. Assist in other miscellaneous projects
About You:
- Science degree (Biology, Chemistry or related disciplines) or relevant industry experience
- Experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, safety, compliance etc.
- Experience in GMP with technical skills in QC / testing capacities with ability to review lab records and testing results
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs or similar programs (Google Office suites)Ability to multi-task and work well with different groups internally and globally
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
- Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
- Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
- Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
