Job Summary: The Quality Control Specialist ensures that all products meet Quest UFPI’s stringent 100% Quality Standards before they are shipped to customers. This role involves overseeing the entire process of identifying, securing, cleaning, counting, assembling, and packaging materials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate products to ensure they meet Quest UFPI’s high-quality standards.
  • Document and Drawing Interpretation: Read and understand basic documents and drawings related to product specifications.
  • Accurate Counting: Perform precise counting of quantities and identify materials based on travelers.
  • Measurement Proficiency: Utilize a tape measure effectively to verify product dimensions and specifications.
  • Computer and ERP System Use: Perform basic computer tasks and navigate the ERP system for inventory and quality control functions.
  • Inventory Management: Apply foundational knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • 5S Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace following the 5S methodology.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and perform additional duties as needed.
  • Warehouse Knowledge: Apply basic warehouse knowledge to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety and adhere to all safety protocols and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in quality control or a similar role preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy in counting, and ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency with a tape measure, basic computer operations, and ERP systems.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Safety Orientation: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
