Summary/Objective:
The Quality Control Specialist III role completes audits on a random sampling of the following reports to ensure adherence to internal policies, processes, and external regulations: New Consumer and Business Accounts; New Consumer and Commercial Loans; BSA. The role is responsible for communicating findings to appropriate parties to help mitigate recurring issues, identifying trends, recommending solutions, and adhering to all Federal and State laws and regulations and governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
The primary function of this role is New Account, New Loan, and BSA quality control; Additional tasks may include share file maintenance reviews, training employees on quality control duties, various report audits, and additional quality control functions.
Essential Functions include:· Reviews a monthly sample of all consumer and business loan types for completeness and compliance with applicable state, federal, and Credit Union requirements and policies, including underwriting compliance, documentation compliance, disclosure compliance, and re-verification of key decision factors
· Reviews a monthly sample of all new consumer and business account for completeness and compliance with Credit Union requirements and policies, including underwriting compliance, documentation compliance, and disclosure compliance.
· Reviews a monthly sample of BSA reports for completeness and compliance with applicable state, federal, and Credit Union requirements and policies, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
· Aggregates all review sources for trending and recurrence
· Error reporting
· Maintains effective documentation of reviews in accordance with procedures
· Collaboration with Leaders and Business Partners on remediation of findings and improvements in process.
· Tracks documented responses to findings and follow-up on remediation
· Reports loan fraud to appropriate management if discovered
· Assists with additional reviews as requested
· Escalation Point for Team
· Subject Matter Expert on complex reports
Reports to:Quality Control Manager
Manages:This role does not have supervisory responsibility
Required Education and Experience:· Equivalent to a two-year college degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or demonstrated experience within financial institutions
· Minimum 5 years of progressive financial institution operations experience or quality control
· Minimum 4 years’ experience in consumer/business lending compliance, processing and/or underwriting
· Ability to comprehend and analyze loan applications, underwriting decisions, credit reports, and loan documentation
· Knowledge of new account operations processes
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficient verbal and written communication skills
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Work Environment:Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

We value in person relationships and are a face-to-face culture but allow for remote work 50% of the time over a two-week period.
Compensation:The person hired into this position will likely earn between $54,968 and $75,581 percentile, plus annual bonus.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
