We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Drive Quality Engineering efforts for internal and external product releases

    • Design test strategy for existing and new features

    • Build automation Strategy in adherence to a well balanced test pyramid and drive improvements to app performance, usability and hardware/software compatibility

    • Drive incident prioritization and work cross-functionally with engineering/design

    • Write and maintain automated test procedures on various frontend and backend platforms

    • Work hand in hand with Design, PM team and engineering teams to ensure quality feature delivery

  • Participate in release processes for the entire company

  • Work closely with Customer Operations, Localization, and other internal teams to triage incidents and drive resolution when necessary

  • Provide technical support to internal team members

  • Host and manage internal company test sessions and dogfooding

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, adjacent fields or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years hand-on industry experience with manual and automated testing

  • Solid foundational skills and understanding of Object Oriented Programming

  • A solid understanding of software product life cycles

  • Hands-on experience testing applications for a variety of smartphones and tablets

  • Ability to isolate defects effectively, as well as provide specific conditions for reproducibility

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for quality in mobile and/or web applications

  • Experience working in a distributed product-team environment

  • Experience with agile test tools and methodologies

  • Native automation experience with iOS, Android, or Web Platforms 

  • Experience testing iPhone applications, Android applications and web interfaces

  • Knowledge of test data analysis, statistics, and test reports

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $145,000 - 210,000 annually

  • Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $138,000 - 200,000 annually

  • Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $123,000 - $179,000 annually

  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
