Who You Are

You are a high performance Quality Engineer. You care deeply about the quality of products and enjoy the process of testing software through both manual and automated means.  You are capable of writing automated tests, and doing spot testing of the UI as part of the release process.  You know when to make the trade-off between getting work done and doing it perfectly.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for well-rounded quality engineers, who have the following skills and expertise in at least one of the listed domains 

Expected Skills

• Experience testing web applications
• Experience in testing APIs
• 3+ years working as a full-time Quality Engineer
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Selenium

Security and Privacy Responsibilities

• Follow our policy and procedure documents related to security and privacy
• Follow the guidelines in the Employee Handbook
• Participate in new hire and annual training for security and privacy
• Treat data security and privacy as one of your primary job responsibilities
• Report Security Incidents you discover as bugs
• Get approval from the Security Team before adding new 3rd party software to our codebase

Expertise in 

• Black Box testing of application functionality
• White Box automated testing of APIs and Web Applications

About the Role

Day 5

• Learn about Viaduct’s history and mission
• Get to know every team member
• Understand Viaduct’s system architecture
• Deep dive into the nuances of vehicle data
• Attend our weekly company-wide meeting and Team Breakfast

Day 30

• Be able to support Black Box testing of new releases 
• Implement automated tests to improve API test coverage
• Be familiar with the day-to-day workflow of your peers
• Do a Presentation about yourself in a company-wide meeting

Day 90

• Own the  test plan for the application as the first Quality Engineer on the Team
• Improve the onboarding process for future hires
• Become involved in the recruiting process and help find more amazing people like yourself!
