Quality Engineer

Flex is an early-stage, remote-first FinTech startup that is bringing flexible payments to recurring bills. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2022 and you’re still not able to choose when you pay your bills. Flex is here to change that! Flex is a multi-bill platform. We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. We enable our users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. With Flex, everybody can better manage their bills and budget. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. • We are looking for talented quality engineers to help us build, scale, and improve our products. This person should be comfortable to work with different teams, technologies and stakeholders. Strong communication and analytical skills are very desirable traits. We believe Quality is something bigger than a role.

  
  

  What you'll do

  • Create quality and testing strategies for different teams and products (from front-end products to infrastructure scenarios)
  • Pair with product folks and developers to ensure we are building quality since the beginning of the development process
  • Automate tasks to ensure repeatability and scale
  • Perform manual testing
  
  

  Who you are

  • 2+ years of professional experience working with software development best practices
  • Experience of helping teams to deliver great software
  • Strive to find simple solutions to complex problems
  • Curious and enjoy not only learning, but also mentoring others
  • Evangelist for quality who is willing to spread proven methodologies and a quality attitude to the rest of the engineering team
  • Highly collaborative, able participating in code reviews, and discussions about architecture or design
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are comfortable in a collaborative, and distributed development environment
