Quality Engineer (Contract)
Job Description
Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, contributing to our commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to join our team in a full-time position that is anticipated to last 12 to 24 months onsite in Jackson, TN and includes standard benefits.Â
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product reliability and conformance to specifications.
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and procurement, to resolve quality-related issues and drive corrective actions.
- Lead and participate in quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality management systems, including procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel on quality-related matters, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent of education and experience.
- Manufacturing Assembly Experience with High/Low volume environments
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams.
- Thorough and organized, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- · Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
