Quality Engineer: Functional

Introduction
In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As a Test Specialist at IBM your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Your Role and Responsibilities
As an entry level Test Specialist at IBM your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we’re delivering the best of the best. Whether the testing is manual automated or cognitive you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for:

• Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium Protractor Katalon Cucumber etc.
• Create test data and test environments
• Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
• Identify understand and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program application or set of applications
• Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Basic understanding of the process of Software Testing
• Introductory development background
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts
• Ability to thrive in an ever changing technology based Consulting environment using agile
• Exposure to basic AI concepts ethics and methodologies

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Preferred experience: Functional Testing creation and execution of functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence JIRA Selenium Test Data Management Tools Performance Testing Tools
• Exposure and experience in Manual testing
• Familiarity with Testing concepts
