Quality Engineer III

We’re looking to add a Quality Engineer III to an already awesome engineering team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining multiple SaaS applications in the social media space. You will work in small, cross-functional teams and love delivering value to our customers through shipping code. We deploy as often as we can and would love you to deploy to production beginning day one.

  Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests using Cypress for the Community product
• Being a vocal champion of quality within the organization to increase the speed and quality of key deliverables
• Ability to evaluate and lead change to processes and technology
• Participate in technical planning and design reviews for feature development
• Design and develop robust test cases for new features focusing on functional, performance and usability aspects in the team
• Triage customer issues effectively and ensure it reaches the team with the right amount of information
• Act as a quality gatekeeper
• Ensure minimal bug leaks to production
• Work with technical writers to document and improve product features
• Automate frontend - using Selenium, API automation

  You are:

• An engineer with BE/B-Tech in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• A person with 5+ years of experience in testing high-volume enterprise grade single page applications
• 4+ years of expertise in building test infrastructure using open source frameworks and tools
• 2+ years of experience in testing product functionality across the stack – from databases, platform services to end user interfaces
• 2+ years of expertise in developing, managing and implementing features in Automation Framework using Cypress
• 2+ years of experience in testing REST/GraphQL APIs and automating them
• Good understanding of git, pull requests and good software development practices
• Well versed with one or more of these technologies: Selenium, Appium or related automation testing tools
• Experience in working with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in working with build tools like Jenkins
• An engineer who writes modular tests scripts
• Someone who understands git, pull requests and good software development practices
• A believer in being Agile and not just doing Agile
• Good to have scripting experience - python or something similar
