Quality Engineer/Auditor

Quality Engineer: SQA Associates in this role possess all the abilities with special training in quality assurance and broad knowledge of the tools and techniques used to measure and assure product quality, RCCA, Failure Analysis, 8D, and Six Sigma technical training in one or more of the following areas: statistics, variability, reduction, manufacturing methods, and data analysis. They can Perform technical activities such as troubleshooting, error proofing, RCCA, failure analysis, and 8 D problem-solving. FAIRs, process, and product improvements. Quality Engineers have 8 plus years of industry experience and hold an engineering degree or equivalent experience.



Provide Supplier Quality Development Services for Google at their facilities and global supplier locations. Services include virtual and onsite assessment of products & processes according to Google's requirements and specifications via QuaSAR and ProBAR. Quality assessment services include assessment of suppliers quality management system (QMS) against Google's QuaSAR QMS requirements and Google's ProBAR product quality requirements including assessments of suppliers procedures, work instructions, personnel interviews, and QMS documentation review.

Assessment may consist of, but not be limited to, the following activities:

a. Google will coordinate with vendors for onsite assessment logistics and SQA will schedule the inspector and follow instructions for on-site access the day of the assessment via established through Buganizer.

b. Compilation of final assessment reports, incorporate evidence to Google drive, review final assessment scores, identified gaps with vendors and Googlers.

c. Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.

d. Verification that inspection methodology, controls, records traceability, test methods, design verifications, supplier’s root cause and corrective actions, sampling approach, and records of in-process control is adequate per drawing intent and manufacturing process requirement specifications.

e. Audit and validate the execution to the source inspection plan.

f. Create, update, and maintain assigned QuaSAR & ProBAR bugs for onsite assessment events. Google will decide to own, QuaSAR and ProBAR action item improvement bugs, reports, or assign SQA to support for follow up reassessment as needed.

g. Ensuring the supplier's quality control system documents the findings and has CAPA procedures and work instructions for Quality Management System improvements.

h. Upon request by Google, assess and witness tests on behalf of Google, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Assess to validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.

i. Collaborate with Google suppliers and sites to analyze failure modes and map out the process points with where SQA inspection points are and assure failure modes are covered in the SQA inspection plan for process and products. Verified Suppliers committed capabilities submitted via Google External Buganizer as preventive measures for completion and effectiveness.

j. Be the on-site support representing Google.

k. Development of procedure, work instructions, PFMEA, on behalf of Supplier as Google owned intellectual proprietary.
