Title: Quality Inspector

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $18.25-$24.05 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

About the Role: We are looking for a Quality Inspector that will support one of the following programs:

• INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models

• SDC: NASA has selected Tendeg to develop a large rectangular aperture deployable antenna for a Surface Deformation and Change mission. Tendeg completed TRL-6 testing of the baseline antenna, which is 7x1.4m and operates at C-band and is studying a 12x2m configuration at L-band. https://science.nasa.gov/earth-science/decadal-sdc.

• 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO to lunar applications.

Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible to visually inspect our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll develop, apply, revise, and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.

What you will do:

• Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
• Advises production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
• Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of the QA Manager.
• Communicates pertinent information to next shift.
• Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.
• Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Key Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED Equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience
• A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
• Experience with finished goods inspection
• Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES
• Basic understanding of material flow in operations
• Experience drafting work instructions and SOP's.
• Experience with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards
