THE ROLE: QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DIRECTOR
Our Quality Management System (QMS) Director works cross-functionally within OLLY to develop strategic plans and quality programs in order to achieve and maintain a culture of quality and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for the execution and performance of OLLY’s QMS activities in support of our consumers satisfaction and our brand mission. As a Quality leader, you will ensure that OLLY has a strong foundation of Quality integrated into our operation while providing guidance and subject-matter expertise to mitigate risk and support business growth. This role reports to the VP QA+RA and will manage a team of 3 – 4 quality professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and manages the overall Quality Management System (QMS) programs
- Establishes key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain a culture of quality
- Ensures all established GMP requirements and standards are followed including specifications, testing protocols, and internal procedures (SOPs)
- Ensures proper product disposition in accordance with established specification and Olly requirements
- Leads internal audit programs to drive improvements and culture of accountability
- Creates highly efficient Quality organization by ensuring top talent is hired, developed and trained
- Stays current on FDA and Industry compliance standards, legislation, and trends, and recommends actions to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness
- Establishes and lead the company management review program
- Hosts and manages regulatory audits and certification programs
- Ensures effective documentation and closure of all root-cause investigations and CAPAs
THE CANDIDATE
You are a quality leader who is enthusiastic about building strong relationships with internal business partners. A problem solver who makes risk-based decisions to support operations while maintaining compliance. A force for creating a culture of quality and being an overall ambassador of our values (R.E.S.P.E.C.T, Transparent, Optimistic, Disruptive, Helpful). You are comfortable with change and enjoy driving continuous improvement initiatives. You are proactive, highly organized, data-driven and works well under pressure. You’re externally aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- 10 -15 years of quality leadership experience in an FDA regulated industry
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field. Advanced degree preferred
- Working knowledge of GMPs under 21 CFR Part 110, 111, and 117 (Dietary Supplement experience is required)
- Ability to influence and foster a culture of Quality across all business operations
- Ability to develop and implement a reliable Quality Management System
- Ability to provide technical expertise on quality topics related to manufacturing, packaging and testing
- Working knowledge in hosting and managing regulatory audits
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to solve complex problems utilizing a risk-based approach
- Travel 10% - 20% or as needed
THE DETAILS
LOCATION: Remote - USA. Expected travel: 15-25%
HOURS: Full time, exempt (salary)
MANAGER: VP QA + RA
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
The pay range for this position is $155,000-$185,000 dependent on experience. This position is bonus eligible and Long-Term Incentive eligible.
