Quality Manager

This is a Monday to Friday, full-time, day shift position.

Description:

· Implement a receiving inspection process.

· Determine a way to measure and reduce packing and shipping defects.

· Audit to ensure incoming parts align with established quality standards and specifications.

· Identify and record rejects within incoming vendor parts, arrange quarantine area accordingly.

· Submit rejects for return to vendors' claims.

· Implement an in-process quality control process for the turbo reman process.

· Perform routine inspections and quality tests for assembled turbos before packaging.

· Investigate product faults, conduct root cause analysis, and provide assembly teams feedback.

· Propose countermeasures to defect-inducing production issues.

· Collaborate with the production team to apply countermeasures and provide training to team members where necessary.

· Document quality checks activities and create auditing reports.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

• Coordinates the development of the Quality Assurance (QA) processes by monitoring, reporting, and administering actions which prevent the occurrence of non-conformities, tracking and verifying corrective actions, and reporting on the performance of the quality systems management
• Supports development of comprehensive tools to measure and monitor supplier performance across all categories of goods and services and throughout the entire lifecycle with the supplier (RFP to Warranty)
• Pro-actively looks for opportunities to improve
• Coordinates the quality awareness training
• Manages indirect QA functional specialists responsible for coordinating development and maintenance of functional processes and metrics
• Analyze warranty data for quality trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct stock purges when notified of quality issues that may pertain to inventoried material.
