QUALITY MANAGER
Proconex, Inc. an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join our fast paced, customer orientated team in our Royersford, PA location. The primary responsibility of the Quality Manager is overall management of the Proconex Quality programs across all companies. The position will work in collaboration with management peers and senior leadership to create and assure compliance to policies, procedures, and best practices, and to drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of self-sufficiency and enjoy being part of a team dedicated to providing service to our internal clients and external customers. The position will work to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, audit, and continuously improve Quality Systems for each Proconex Business Unit as required.
- Leverage existing quality programs throughout the organization to ensure consistency and completeness of Quality Program processes, documentation, and audits.
- Lead the company-wide Quality team.
- Manage day-to-day Customer feedback and customer requests for Quality System information, including ownership of updates to customer portals and requests/follow ups regarding the company Quality program(s).
- Determine required preventative and corrective actions and assure remediation.
- Work with operational departments to support ASME/National Board VR and T/O certifications, Emerson’s Premier Service Provider requirements, as well as other procedures/certifications such as welding and pressure testing.
- Assist with or conduct training as required.
- Ensure documentation related to Quality Assurance is maintained.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years’ experience in a Quality Management role.
- Experience in Safety Program Administration including evaluating/interpreting OSHA, PHMSA, FMCSA, EPA, ASME and National Board rules/guidance is preferred.
- Familiarity with process automation and manufacturing related safety hazards in a process environment is preferred.
SKILLS:
- Strong writing skills; capable of drafting and maintaining Policies & Procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, regulatory agencies and internally at all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of compliance issues related to risk, reliability, and safety.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to influence for results without owning management reporting responsibility.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to use digital tools to organize policies and procedures and administer access to documents.
- Ability to utilize multiple customer-required vendor management portals.
- Support continuous improvement.
EDUCATION:
- Degree in Engineering or Quality/Supply Chain Management preferred
- Proficiency and completion of OSHA 510 and or OSHA 511 may be substituted in lieu of a formal safety designation such as CSP, CUSP, CSST, OHST or COSS
WORKING CONDITIONS: The position is based out of our Royersford Headquarters and will be able to take part in the company hybrid in-office options. Travel is required to other company locations, customer sites and for other business reasons, as required. Work environment is typically in office or light industrial settings; however some field work may be required.
