Quality Specialist

Supporting the Global Quality Distribution function, our Quality Specialist will liaise between S+N legal manufacturers from all three S+N franchises (Ortho, Sports Medicine and Wound) as well as our 3rd party logistics supplier (3PL). 

This position will be located onsite at the 3PL’s facility and will provide Quality support for distribution-related activities required to be performed by the 3PL. 

What will you be doing? 

• Ensure any complaint returns received at the 3Pl are directed to the appropriate legal manufacturer’s location. 

• Coordinate final product release activities between legal manufacturer and 3PL. 

• Communicate 3PL batch characteristics population requirements and discrepancies to legal manufacturers. 

• Support damaged product decision disposition 

• Support coordination of logistics of Quality Hold/Recalls/Returns going back to S+N and 3rd party supplier locations. 

• Support training and secondary labeling operations. 

• Coordinate communication of issues with external suppliers. 

What does success look like? 

Our successful candidate will be educated in an engineering subject area as well as ideally having an accredited quality certification such as an ASQ.  

You'll come from a background of driving inspection activities under a detailed Quality Management System within a regulated industry. 

You'll have a strong understanding of good distribution practices, being able to communicate them thoroughly as well as being capable of detecting non-conformities while performing repetitive inspections.
