Quality Supervisor

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• • Oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. 

  • Provide manufacturing support through supervision, training, and guidance of Quality Line Inspectors, Final and In-Process Inspectors to ensure compliance with product specifications. 

  • Ensure timely scheduling of inspection, product inspection, auditing, and data collection. 

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering to develop control plans such as inspection plans, and process validation. 

  • Develop and train Quality personnel in inspection protocols/techniques and equipment usage. 

  • Provide feedback regarding specifications of materials, parts, and products based upon inspection results. 

  • Accurately document nonconforming product.  

  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion.  

  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as callipers, flatness gauges and tape measures.  

  • Ability to write basic reports that provide clear understanding.  

  • Interact with all levels of the management team (cross-function collaboration).  

  • Provide support in other areas of the department as needed.  

  • Accurately use computer software, must be familiar with Excel.  

  • Detail oriented and organized with good time management skills.  

  • Able to communicate well both verbally and written.  

  • Able to work well both individually and as part of a team.  

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced schedule with time constraints.  

  • Assist in data collection, analysis and reporting of department metrics as required.

Required Skills, Education, Experience: 

•High school diploma required 

• 3+ years department supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment ( minimum of 1 year of the last must be in quality).

• Good organizational skills 

• Good communication skills and ability to resolve conflict 

• Management experience preferred

• Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.  

• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned. 

Environmental Conditions may occasionally include:  

• Noisy production environment

• Noisy open office environment

• Non-Climate controlled.
