We are an intrinsically motivated team that has a passion for solving problems and empowering each other every day to develop our skills, knowing that there is always room for growth.

The Quality Technician’s primary focus will be supporting Supplier Quality Engineering by verifying that supplier documentation submitted in support of hardware to be delivered meets requirements and gets properly filed for retention to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet our customer’s expectations.

  • Author Discrepancy Reports (DR) as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating Return to Vendor (RTV) dispositions for material rejected by inspection. This includes ERP transactions, gaining RMA, and preparing materials for safe return shipment while communicating with suppliers to ensure they understand the issues and drive resolution in support of Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • May perform dimensional, electrical, and/or visual inspections as appropriate for procured items.
  • May prepare inspection plans and write procedures or work instructions.
  • May perform supplier performance analysis and prepare basic statistical charts and reports.
  • Under the direction of the SQE, may issue nonconformance reports and review corrective action responses.
  • May assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and update the calibration recall tracking system.
  • If qualified, may perform supplier process or quality system audits and/or internal audits of the Ursa Major Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Highly skilled in using computer file systems and ERP software
  • Understanding of engineering models and drawings (basic GD&T knowledge)
  • Skilled in using standard inspection tools, methods, and reporting requirements
  • Experience in a moderate volume and mixed manufacturing environment

Desired Experience:

  • ASQ CQT or CQPA Certification is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field is a plus
