Quality Technician Temp (R2211)
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.Â
- Conduct thorough evaluations of products, utilizing appropriate measuring tools and equipment.Â
- Document and record inspection and test results accurately and in a timely manner.Â
- Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and execute dispositions given by MRB (Materials Review Board)Â
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures and documentation.Â
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality-related issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.Â
- Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of preventive measures.Â
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment as required.Â
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality control.Â
- Support quality audits and provide necessary documentation and information.Â
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of related experience and training in quality control or related positionsÂ
- Understanding of GD&T principlesÂ
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and calibrated equipment like calipers, micrometers, scales, ring gages, pin gages and other standard measuring instruments.
- Root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action methodsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.Â
- Experience in quality control or related positions within a manufacturing environment.Â
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.Â
- Strong knowledge of measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.Â
- Familiarity with various inspection methods, techniques, and statistical process control (SPC) principles.Â
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action processes.Â
- Ability to perform configuration verification of all levels of assemblies/hardware.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.Â
- Mastery in computer applications, including spreadsheet software and quality management software.Â
- Strong adaptability, resilience, and grit.Â
