Job Description Corrections and Remediations Analytics Data Analyst Manager
The Corrections and Remediations Team manages the process to triage, fix, correct, and eliminate customer impact caused by business process and/or operational issues. The Credit Card Data Analyst Manager plays a critical role within Corrections and Remediations, managing/directing a team of data analysts domestically and offshore to work with the business and correction partners to understand the issue, interpret the requirements, determine the coding steps, identify the impacted universe by translating the requirements into code, calculate the financial impact (where appropriate), validate the results, and aid in execution.
Support Analyst Key Responsibilities include:
  • LOB case load management
    • Optimize resource management
    • Efficient DA case assignments
    • Ensure analysts are following procedures and correctly documenting through the process
  • Manage case progression
    • Ensure analysts have researched and are prepared for case kickoffs and ready with clarifying questions
    • Ensure cases are worked with utmost accuracy and urgency
    • Monitor case progression to ensure any latency is addressed quickly (unclear requirements, new analyst learning curve, missing data, etc)
    • Review case detail to ensure coding is accurate and approach is correct and not overengineered
    • Actively work to remove obstacles from case management (Simplify approach, Follow up on requirement clarifications, Research missing data needs, Analyst reassignment,
  • Partner with Corrections Project Management/Business Analyst teams
  • Executive Communication
    • Effectively communicate case timelines and provide constant feedback for date movements
    • Articulate obstacles, workarounds, and impacts to timing
  • People Management
    • Consistently hiring new analyst talent to offset any attrition
    • Ensure team is getting appropriate training and that the team is getting up to speed as fast as possible
  • Quality Management
    • Ensure training is in line to mitigate issues found in testing
    • Address any findings from QA/QR reviews with a plan to mitigate future findings

Required Qualifications
  • Extensive Data Analytics Background (5+ years)
    • Advanced SQL, PLSQL, SAS experience
    • Ability to research data structure using front-end systems
    • Proven data miner / Ability to research data structure using front-end systems
  • Experience in relationalizing data from varying database/flat file datasets (Oracle, Teradata, SAS, delimited files, etc)
  • College degree and 5+ years' experience
  • Experienced People Manager (3+ years)
  • Project Management Acumen
    • Experience working on multiple projects at once
    • Experience redefining unclear project requirements
    • Root Cause Acumen
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven Business Partner
  • Elevated proficiency with standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Must be detailed and quality assurance oriented
  • Detail oriented / Self Learner

Preferred Skills
  • Chase Card experience ex. Data, Risk, Pricing, MIS
  • Corrections and Remediations management experience
  • Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related subject preferred
  • Detailed JPMC product, data table, and/or structure knowledge preferred
  • Understanding of the data infrastructure in a financial services organization
