What is the Quantitative and Risk Analytics team responsible for??
Our Quantitative and Risk Analytics group, located in Lincoln, MA is hiring a Quantitative Data Analyst to report directly to our Head of Quantitative and Risk Analytics. The team oversees portfolio analytics, simulation based-frameworks, strategic asset allocation, and quantitative research for our Fiduciary Trust/ Advisory Solutions Group and UHNW RIA.
What is the Quantitative Data Analyst responsible for?
In this role, you will maintain the underlying data essential to our proprietary investment risk-management and forecasting tools, models, and corresponding software interfaces deployed at the firm.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Quantitative Data Analyst?
- Validate and maintain investment exposure data across asset classes -a key input for our risk management software
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data integrity processes critical to the support of various quantitative models
- Lead quarterly investment fund slide deck generation and continued maintenance
- Enhance our data gathering and validation process with the intention of efficiency and scalability
- Update various composite performance models used by Private Equity and other investment teams
- Coordinate with Research, Portfolio Management, and Reporting teams to troubleshoot data-related issues which arise
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Math, or related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years' full-time experience in the financial industry
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, VBA, Python, and SQL
- Experience with analysis of large data sets with an eye towards structure
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills with a problem-solving mindset geared towards improvement of current processes and creation of new ones
- Disciplined work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with FactSet a plus

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $65,000 - $95,000.
