Quantitative Analyst (Contract 3 months)

We are seeking an experienced and independent Quantitative Analyst with a proven track record in designing and implementing trading ideas and strategies across stocks and cryptocurrencies, especially technical trading strategies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives on identifying market inefficiencies and opportunities through advanced analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of popular technical indicators, pair trading, arbitrage, and other quantitative trading strategies. Preferred technical skills include: TradingView, Excel/Google Sheets, and/or

Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize trading strategies for stocks and cryptocurrencies, leveraging technical analysis and quantitative methods.
• Develop, test, and refine trading strategies for both stock and cryptocurrency markets, focusing on concepts like pair trading, arbitrage, and momentum strategies.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, and trends.
• Work independently to ideate and implement profitable trading strategies, leveraging advanced data analytics.
• Utilize TradingView to create custom indicators and scripts for technical analysis and create the visualizations for the models.
• Design trading ideas and models in Excel, Google Sheets, or using code (ie Python).
• Backtest and simulate trading strategies, ensuring their validity and scalability in live markets.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on trading, finance, or technical analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of stocks and cryptocurrencies, including market structures, trading dynamics, and technical analysis.
• Proficiency with TradingView, Excel or Google Sheets to build models and visualizations.
• Strong understanding of pair trading, arbitrage, and other quantitative strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to generate trading ideas and execute them from conception to implementation.
• Ability to work on their own to come up with trading ideas.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English
