Cubist Systematic Strategies, an affiliate of Point72, deploys systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across multiple liquid asset classes, including equities, futures and foreign exchange. ROLE

The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical components of trading and research systems for a systematic mid-frequency equity portfolio. Possible projects may include implementing distributed machine learning algorithms, designing new data pipelines for processing news signals, building dashboards for monitoring live trading, or debugging numerical discrepancies in a simulation.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional programming experience; prior competitive programming background preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and its ecosystem.
• Some experience with C++ or Rust.
• Strong mathematical background. A good understanding of probability theory and numerical linear algebra is a strong plus.
• Proficient in technology and passionate about it, with the ability to integrate both open-source and proprietary components to build a robust system.
• Previous experience with trading system development is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and proactively in a small team.
