Career Description

As a Quantitative Trader at Simplex, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing algorithmic trading strategies in the delta one space, particularly focusing on futures trading. You will leverage your expertise in quantitative modeling and market analysis to build and optimize trading strategies, contributing to the overall success of the firm's trading operations. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, deep market knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and competitive trading environment.

What will you be doing?

• Research, design, and implement algorithmic trading strategies in the delta one domain, with a focus on futures products.
• Develop quantitative models to identify trading opportunities and optimize execution strategies.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders, developers, and risk management teams to ensure seamless strategy deployment and risk control.
• Analyze market data, identify market signals, and formulate hypotheses for alpha generation.
• Monitor and manage the performance of trading strategies, making real-time adjustments to optimize profitability and risk management.
• Utilize advanced statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to enhance strategy performance.
• Conduct post-trade analysis to continuously improve existing strategies and develop new ones.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest market developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the financial industry.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a quantitative trader in a fast-paced trading environment
• Proficiency in developing quantitative models and workflow automation using tools such as Python, C++, Bash, Git, and Airflow.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and optimization techniques.
• Experience with systematic trading approaches, including black box strategy design and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of market microstructure, order execution, and algorithmic trading techniques.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• A track record of successful trading strategies and a portfolio of work showcasing your quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
