The Position
Strategic Advisers is looking for a Trading Strategist to join the team and support equity execution on behalf of the managed account business.
Responsibilities
- Oversee order routing for electronic execution of ETFs, common stock, and ADRs.
- Work with senior quantitative analyst to support data and execution analysis and assist with the presentation of trade analytics as we expand our quantitative execution strategy.
- Analyze order routing rules and execution results to further optimize and enhance electronic trading capabilities and automation efforts.
- Collaborate with trading team to monitor trade blotter completion, market events and trade liquidity given evolving market conditions.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Engineering teams on effective trade implementation and provide market context and liquidity analysis for special situations.
- Review pre-trade, intra-day, and post-trade execution metrics to assist in evaluation of trading strategy and work through potential updates to trade optimization process.
- Exercise effective communication across all internal channels to ensure seamless end to end processing for all open trades and executed trades.

Qualifications
Candidates should have demonstrated consistent success in their academic and work experience. They will have very strong analytical and interpersonal skills and exhibit the highest level of personal and professional integrity. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of industry experience with 3+ years of trading experience
- Quantitative aptitude and sharp analytical skills
- Experience with systematic/automated trading using high level statistics and database programming languages and with their application programming interface (API) toolkits.
- Understanding of equity market structure, knowledge of trading venues and order routing strategies
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a constant eye toward accuracy
- Ability to think creatively and independently while working in a collaborative environment
- Self-starter, capable of developing new tools and using quantitative solutions to solve workflow challenges
- Track record of intellectual curiosity and a passion for problem solving
- Team-first attitude with flexibility and willingness to pitch-in where needed
