Quoting Specialist

The Quoting Specialist is a full-time, hourly position.

Primary Job Summary

The Quoting Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of quoting for the service department. This will include look up and pricing of any required parts, completing any S207's if required, pulling in all applicable service expenses, such a labor hours, freight, diagnostic time, building the actual quote, sending to the customer, following up with the customer to close out the quote, and then converting the quote to a workorder once closed.

Job Requirements

• Possess a strong sense of urgency.
• Possess a good working knowledge of parts processes from determining the necessary parts to sourcing pricing for those parts from the appropriate vendors.
• Possess great attention to detail.
• Possess good communication skills and be able to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
• Able to be personable and friendly with regular phone and email communication with customers to close open quotes.
• Possess superb ability to follow up, primarily with customers, but also those who initiated the quote and with vendors, Raymond or any other internal contacts that the quoting process may be dependent on.
• Be well organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem solving.
• Be a self-starter, a highly motivated individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks, interruptions and changing priorities.
• Be able to work well independently and as a member of the service team.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Behaviors

• Minimum requirement: 3+ years experience in the material handling parts or service industry or other applicable industry experience such as heavy equipment.
• Good computer skills to deal with multiple programs, including business systems, Microsoft word and excel.
• Confident person with a strong sense for selling.
• Able to read and understand specifications required to assemble the parts aspects of a quote.
• Ability to recognize and draw upon available support resources from within the company and the greater Raymond organization.
• Ability to foster good internal working relationships across all Werres departments.
