R&D Quality Engineer

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a R&D Quality Engineer for the High Voltage Business to join their team in Maneja Gujrat, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Mission Statement: The R&D Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing R&D Quality process, KPI monitoring, responsible for R&D Quality activities, support R&D Quality Manager in TC.

Your Responsibilities:

• INTC R&D Quality Engineer and drive R&D Quality activities .
• Support R&D Quality Manager in R&D Budgeting exercise, manpower rate calculation.
• Coordinate with INTC Project Managers and manage R&D project dashboard
• Develop and maintain local R&D processes
• Develop and maintain system/KPI to shows quality of cross function support (esp. SCM) to TC/Projects
• Co-ordinate with TC commercial executive for on time financial transactions e.g. Invoicing, cost reporting and bill booking at TC level.
• Team player with the ability to both manage and work hands-on with other team members to accomplish various jobs, and to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced R&D and lab environment.
• Working knowledge of Switchgear R&D processes.
• Ability to collaborate with R&D engineer, global & local stakeholders, cross-function resource. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to participate in a multi-task environment. Familiarity with project management methodology.

Your background:

• B.E/M.E. (Mechanical/Electrical)Work experience in switchgear industry (LV/MV/HV) 3. 8 to 9 years of design and development work experience
• Should have undergone complete product development cycle (From Concept design to product launch).
• Working knowledge of six sigma tools like QFD / DOE/ FMEA etc and green belt/yellow belt is preferable.
• Ability to motivate employees, oversee tasks and effectively utilize personnel management skills.
• Ability to work in a "start-up" environment, initiative to ensure "all bases are covered". Good communication skill.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
