Responsibilities

Coordinates, organizes, directs, and evaluates the effectiveness of academic and clinical aspects of the Radiography Program. Establishes program policies and procedures, and is responsible for curriculum planning, academic instruction, supervision, and the scheduling and evaluation of students. Supervises full-time faculty and prepares and manages the budget. Functions as a team member with the program staff to assure the students acquire cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills needed to function as highly skilled radiographers upon graduation from the program. Assures that the Program meets the accreditation standards of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and regional and state accreditation agencies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a management or education related field

2 years experience as an Instructor registered in a JRCERT program

Minimum of 3 years full-time experience as a Radiographer (ARRT)

Additional Qualifications

Must be proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and counseling. Must have demonstrated strong human relations and communications skills to effectively teach and counsel students and to work cohesively with the program staff. Must have consistently exhibited professionalism with patients, staff, and supervision to set an example for student behavior. Must be familiar with radiography exams done in the clinical areas and be able to operate the equipment. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to make independent decisions and meet deadlines. Must be comfortable with computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.)

License or Certification

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R)

Florida license in Radiography
