Job Description
Chevron is accepting online applications for the Rail Coordinator position through October 3rd at 11:59 p.m.
The Rail Coordinator is responsible for transport, storage, and blending for respective commodities across Upstream, Midstream and Downstream. Tasks include transportation nominations, system balancing and optimization, blending, documentation, credit, risk and inventory management.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Lead day-to-day rail scheduling, including activities such as fleet management, optimization, blending, storage and inventory management
- Manage coordination of rail, terminal and/or refinery logistics; monitors and executes commodity movement
- Partner with Sales Team to manage physical inventory positions and recommend logistic activity based on interactions with third-parties to optimize earnings
- Collaborate on optimization initiatives, sales strategies and sharing of best practice learnings
- Engage with third-party customers (railroads, service providers) and external industry experts to maintain strong relationships, understand competitor landscape and regulatory expectations
- Assists commercial groups in evaluating the economics and viability of business opportunities; incorporates logistical/operational factors and market intelligence into decision making
- Maintains a strong focus toward incident-free operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ Years of experience in Scheduling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to present your views and opinions clearly and concisely.
- Team player with the ability to work well in a fast-paced diverse team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oil & Gas Industry Experience
