Monday to Friday (1) Work in Brooklyn, NY

Monday to Friday (1) 2nd Shift Work in Brooklyn, NY

Monday to Friday (2) 3rd Shift in Brooklyn, NY

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical systems.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

• Must have the ability to use shop tools and test equipment such as wheel true machine, forklifts, table-lifts, hoists, cranes, power tools, specialized measuring tools, electronic test equipment, laptop computers, and hand tools

**Former railroad, military, aviation, and/or other heavy-duty electrical and mechanical shop experience is desired

DUTIES

• Ability to comply with all safety rules and instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment
• Must have the ability to comprehend, communicate and respond to instructions, orders, signs, notices, inquires, etc. in English
• Inspect, test, maintain and troubleshoot propulsion, couplers and brakes, HVAC systems, door systems, communication, and public address systems.

• Perform FRA covered service inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on ATC cab signal and PTC Train control systems.

• Read and interpret operating and maintenance schematics and prints.
• Record completed inspections and repairs using software tools other; complete written reports as required.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
